Cliff
McInnis is the Owner and Operator of Houston Watersports Complex.
He has been involved with inboard ski & wakeboard boats as
well as competitive water sports since the early 90's. He started
his competitive water sports career water-skiing for approximately
4 years here locally in Houston. Soon after that, he followed a
desire to barefoot ski. After just one summer of training and
learning a full array of tricks he started competing on a national
level for 2 years. Once introduced to wakeboarding, he found his
niche and began competing in local events and small tournaments.
He earned his first sponsorship from Iconn Wakeboards and started
wakeboarding on a National and World level, where he began to
excel. He became sponsored by Hyperlite and began climbing the
competitive ladder to earn many awards and podium finishes. Cliff
won a National Championship in 1999.
After
years of assisting Houston Watersports Complex at boat shows,
doing clinics, demos and other events Cliff became the General
Manager for almost two years before purchasing HWC. Cliff is our
resident water sports guru and will apply his personal and
experienced knowledge of the boating industry to help find the
perfect boat for you. Cliff also has a passion for teaching people
of all ages to wakeboard, water-ski or barefoot. He personally
taught his daughter (Demi McInnis) to wakeboard at the age of 4
while his son (Rance McInnis) learned at the age of 3. Both kids
actually learned to barefoot off the boom this summer (2007) at
the ages of 8 and 6 respectively. He is willing to apply his
passion and knowledge to you, your children, and friends to ensure
that you can grow as a family and truly treasure your days on the
water.
