Cliff McInnis - President
cliffmc@nautiqueway.com
| |
| Cliff McInnis is the Owner and Operator of Houston Watersports Complex. He has been involved with inboard ski & wakeboard boats as well as competitive water sports since the early 90's. He started his competitive water sports career waterskiing for approximately 4 years here locally in Houston. Soon after that, he followed a desire to barefoot ski. After just one summer of training and learning a full array of tricks he started competing on a national level for 2 years. Once introduced to wakeboarding, he found his niche and began competing in local events and small tournaments. He earned his first sponsorship from Iconn Wakeboards and started wakeboarding on a National and World level, where he began to excel. He became sponsored by Hyperlite and began climbing the competitive ladder to earn many awards and podium finishes. Cliff won a National Championship in 1999.
After years of assisting Houston Watersports Complex at boat shows, doing clinics, demos and other events Cliff became the General Manager for almost two years before purchasing HWC. Cliff is our resident water sports guru and will apply his personal and experienced knowledge of the boating industry to help find the perfect boat for you. Cliff also has a passion for teaching people of all ages to wakeboard, waterski or barefoot. He personally taught his daughter (Demi McInnis) to wakeboard at the age of 4 while his son (Rance McInnis) learned at the age of 3. Both kids actually learned to barefoot off the boom this summer (2007) at the ages of 8 and 6 respectively. He is willing to apply his passion and knowledge to you, your children, and friends to ensure that you can grow as a family and truly treasure your days on the water.

James Williams - Service Manager

| |
| HWC Service Manager James Williams has been with HWC since March of 2002. He grew up in Mobile, Alabama, where his interest in engines and being a top level mechanic led him in to the auto racing industry and deep into the world of boating. At a young age James developed a passion for engines and enjoyed being in and around the water. While pursuing a career in the automotive industry an opportunity to indulge in his natural born interests arose here at Houston Watersports Complex as a Mechanic/Technician. So in February of 2002 he made a firm decision and moved to Houston.
James has been employed at HWC for 6+ years, the first and second year as an apprentice technician while earning his numerous certifications from PCM (Pleasure Craft Marine), Indmar, and Mercruiser. Soon after that, James earned a well deserved promotion to Service Manager in 2004. He specializes in engine diagnosis, engine overhaul, electrical, as well as fiberglass and gel-coat repair. James carries with him a vast knowledge of all inboard boats and their inner workings. He fully understands that you bought your boat to spend time on the water with friends and family not in the service shop. He will assist you in any way possible, from self diagnosis for the do-it yourselfer to a complete overhaul, James and his team will go to whatever means available to get you back on the water as soon as possible. To set up an appointment with James and the HWC service center fill out a ‘Service Request’ in the left hand margin under the Dealer Services tab at the top of this page or contact James by e-mail.
